Middlesbrough to 'hijack' Harte move

Middlesbrough to 'hijack' Harte move

Championship rivals Middlesbrough could be set to 'hijack' the Cherries moves for Ian Harte.

Veteran Harte made his debut for Leeds United in the Premier League in 1996 and has gone on to make over 500 career appearances for Leeds, Levante (Spain), Sunderland, Blackpool, Carlisle, Reading and Republic Of Ireland.

AFC Bournemouth had been linked with a summer move for the left back however Sky Sports have now reported that AFC Bournemouth had made a contract offer to the 35 year old however Harte had declined the offer.

Championship rivals Middlesbrough 'have also revealed their interest' and could 'hijack the deal' whilst the Cherries ponder making an improved offer.
