Championship Cherries Fixtures

AFC Bournemouth's Championship campaign has now completely taken shape with the announcement of the fixtures by the Football League.

Eddie Howe's squad clinched promotion to the second tier of English football for only the second time in the clubs history last season and the reward is a familiar one, an opening day fixture against Charlton Athletic.

For two seasons the Cherries started of the season at The Valley, however on this occasion it will be Charlton on their travels.

The Cherries first away trip will be to Watford, whilst other highlights include hosting former Premier League champions Blackburn Rovers at the end of September and a trip to Eddie Howe's former club Burnley in November.

The Christmas period also looks interesting with away trips to Queens Park Rangers, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton across December and January.

The season ends on the 3rd May away at Millwall.

Due to a change in licensing laws we can now publish the full AFC Bournemouth fixture list on Vital Football.
