The Cherries Transfer Gossip

The Cherries Transfer Gossip

It's silly season, so multiple rumours are abound as to whom The Cherries are being linked with, and to whom they could be selling.

Not so much is appearing in the papers, as the world of twitter has taken on the rumour mill bandwagon considerably.

This week we've heard:

In:

QPR striker DJ Campbell is to join after being released by The Hoops.

Burnley midfielder Richard Chaplow.

Burnley, and ex-AFCB striker, Danny Ings. Reportedly a £1m bd has been rejected by the Clarets.

Out:

Shwan Jalal is off to Bristol City.

Franck Demouge is to join Roda JC permanently after his successful loan spell.

Matt Tubbs has been subject to interest from Oxford United, Rotherham United and former club, Crawley Town.

1m for Danny Ings your having a laugh, barely scored a goal for Burnley 6 in 47. We could do much better for half the price or for free if the DJ Campbell rumor is true though cant see us being able too afford his wages.

No way would I want Ings back. To be honest I thought we sold him way over-priced anyway & now we apparently want him back an injurery prone for more money... Where's the logic?

Was having a beer in my mates garden over the weekend with a young, recent ex AFCB player (Who should never have been released because he is quality) and I can pretty much 100% confirm that Jalal wont be a Bournemouth player next season, whether it is Bristol City or not. Also, the rumour about Ings is true - A second bid of 1.3m was then made. Also, Donal McDermott isn't going anywhere...

^ Take it that's Lyle then :L but al though I had belief in his ability, it didn't suprize me when we released him. Not shore I'd want him back tho. Scottish 2nd division is a lot different to the Championship let alone league 1.

As for Jalal leaving, I can't thank him enough for his services. But to be honest he seems very flat footed. I Rarely see him come off the ground for a save.

Not Lyle. Local lad from Oakdale. Also, it is apparently pretty well accepted that Donal Mcdermott is the most technically gifted player in the squad, by the players according to this one source. He just has a serious attitude problem i.e turns up for training without boots a lot. He also goes on lots of nights out, by himself. I'm sure this isn't right, but he apparently has a 3 year contract and he is so loaded that he intends to just stick them out and spaff the cash. If he goes it will be a disiplinary too far.

...sounds like a nice guy...he should enjoy playing for the reserves then...sums up what s wrong with some young players today...bet that here are hundreds who would love his skill and ability and would put it to better use!

Are we going to have the smallest squad in the league? Flahaven back up goalkeeper TOO SMALL, a good back four but not the tallest, midfield two Arter and O Kane good but small, back up squad of tubbs, fogden, McDermott and the smallest footballer I have ever seen Fraser do we really need and more small players where is the speculation about a target man and a big tackling midfielder?
