Cherries linked with Brentford striker

AFC Bournemouth have been linked with a summer move for Brentford striker Clayton Donaldson.

With Brentford missing out on promotion following defeat to Yeovil in the League One play-off final at Wembley last weekend, talkSPORT have reported that the 29 year old forward is keen to test himself at a higher level.

Donaldson enjoyed a successful campaign in League One last season scoring 24 goals in 56 appearances and that form has reportedly interested not only the Cherries but Wolves, Millwall and Barnsley.

Brentford's fans' player of the year is out of contract in 12 months time and talkSPORT suggest he could be available for around 500,000.

was not that impressed with this guy in the playoff final but one game does not make him a good or bad player i mean at the start of the season we had people saying dont buy simon francis useless what a waste of time i think he was a fantastic buy you never can tell

I was saying a few weeks ago that an industrial striker like Donaldson would be good for us. ^ I've seen him play a bunch of times & I was impressed with his work rate & attitude. Woukd be a good partnership for Pitman.

May I add that he was Brentfords player of the year!

I'm not a fan of him and would prefer someone like Matt Smith from Oldham, but you can't argue with his goalscoring rate. I'd say we could do worse but i think we could also do better

Doesn't seem any evidence of it though ... think I may be mistaken!
