Tindall: Fletch is a legend

AFC Bournemouth assistant manager Jason Tindall has described Fletch as both a legend and an icon.

Big Fletch announced his retirement from professional at the age of 40 on Friday.

After 20 years association with AFC Bournemouth, Fletch hangs up his boots as the clubs record appearance holder with 728 appearances, a record unlikely to ever be beaten.

Tindall was a former team-mate of Fletch's during his own playing days, as well as being a key part of the side under the managerial duo of Howe and Tindall.

Tindall told afcb.co.uk...

"When someone has given the service he has to a football club you do have to look at them as a legend I`m sure all Bournemouth fans will look at Big Fletch as a legend because as a player he has been incredible.

"He has scored some really important goals and been a real huge part in building team spirits in the years that he has been here.

"He is looked at as an icon. Kids look up to him and a lot of our players in the changing room look up to him and take a lot of advice from the big man.'
