Ritchie: Promotion charge is very much alight

AFC Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie was pleased to score twice in the Cherries 3-1 victory over Notts County.

The former Swindon Town and current League One player of the season scored his second and third goals for the club as AFC Bournemouth made it six wins on the spin.

The Cherries third was Ritchie's twelfth goal of the season, but with the points maintaining the clubs five point advantage over Yeovil and Brentford (who both hold games in hand), it leaves Eddie Howe's side with a chance of automatic promotion with just three games remaining.

Ritchie told

'...That is six on the bounce now and we want to keep going, We said we can win all our games in the run in and so far so good, we just need to keep doing it and keep concentrating and I'm sure we'll be up there.

'I'm happy (to be scoring), but more happy that we are winning now and the promotion charge is very much alight. Hopefully we can keep winning till the end of the season.'
