AFC Bournemouth successfully reached the final of the Hampshire Senior Cup final on Tuesday night for the first time since 1989.
The Cherries lifted the cup that season, with a 2-1 victory over Basingstoke Town. If AFC Bournemouth were to repeat the feat this season, they would do so in front of their own fans as AFC Bournemouth's Goldsands Stadium has been selected to host the final.
Dean Court has held the final of the competition five times since 2005, with Southampton hosting three of the last four finals at St Mary's.
The Cherries will face Wessex Premier leaders Alresford Town in the final.
Alresford have never reached the final of the competition before, whilst the Cherries are battling to lift the cup for the fourth time.
Chief Executive of Hampshire Football Association Neil Cassar told the Southern Daily Echo...
We are delighted to be returning to AFC Bournemouth for the Saturday Senior Cup Final this year and we congratulate the players, officials and supporters of both Alresford Town and AFC Bournemouth in reaching the final.
"It will be a great final for the neutral and we are all thoroughly looking forward to it."
