Cherries face semi-final at Totton

AFC Bournemouth head into this (Tuesday) evenings clash at AFC Totton with a place in the Hampshire Senior Cup final at stake.

AFC Bournemouth development coach Chris Hargreaves has seen his young side progress through the competition with a place in the final now just a game away.

The fixture was switched to the Testwood Stadium following the semi-final draw and prices are £9 for adults, £5 for concessions and students, £3 for Under 16 with a adult and child deal priced at £10.

Hargreaves is expected to name a predominately young side, bolstered by AFC Bournemouth utility player Joe Partington, while 'keeper Darryl Flahavan and striker Charlie Sheringham could also make their first returns following injuries.

Flahavan has been sidelined all season following a shoulder operation to cure an injury picked up during pre-season, whilst Sheringham hasn't featured since Boxing Day 2011 when he injured his foot scoring against Brentford.

Hargreaves told the Daily Echo...

"It is probably the biggest game that some of the young boys will have played in.

"It is not a concern for Flavs and Charlie but I am sure they would prefer to have the game meaning something so it is a good game for them to come back. It will be a good tempo and a good test."

Speaking to afcb.co.uk Flahavan added...

'...my contract is up in the summer so I want to put myself out as much as I can and try and earn a new deal.

"It is a massive bonus for me to come back earlier than I assumed, so it`s given me a half a chance and I`m going to try and take that with both hands, starting with the game against AFC Totton."
