Fletch: We will keep plugging away

AFC Bournemouth legend Steve Fletcher believes the goals will return for his side.

After becoming League One's highest goalscorers with 57 goals in 32 games, the Cherries have failed to hit the back of the net during the last three outings.

276 minutes of football has past since Brett Pitman hit the winner against Crewe in mid February, with the Cherries losing all three games to Preston, Sheffield United and Coventry.

Fletch believes that once one goal comes, the confidence will return.

Fletch told the Daily Echo...

'...It is something we have got to put right. We had chances on Tuesday and we do score goals. It is proven, the stats are there and we have got good goalscorers in the team.

"On another occasion, we would have been two or three up at half-time. But it is just about getting the rub of the green and that little bit of luck that is not with us. The strikers will be doing the same as we have since the gaffer came back this week, next week and the week after. We stay out two or three times extra every week and do different types of finishing...'

'...We are not taking our chances and there is no easy solution. We have just got to keep plugging away, one will come and then we will be back where we were."
