Addison: Promotion is the be-all and end-all
AFC Bournemouth captain Miles Addison believes the Cherries have earned their place in the top six as they now push for promotion to the Championship.
The Cherries defender, who hasn't played since suffering a foot injury in November was ruled out for the remainder of the season on Tuesday.
Addison requires surgery and will go in for the operation on Friday to have bone within his tendon removed, the tendon might also need to be repaired and so the former England Under 21's international will be sidelined for around eight to twelve weeks.
Fortunately the injury is not related to the one that almost ended his career whilst he was still at Derby.
Addison told the Daily Echo...
"...I signed here because I believed the club could get into the Championship. If I never kick a ball again for what ever reason, it would be irrelevant. What matters is what happens to Bournemouth...'
'...I have never been involved in a squad where there is so much togetherness. The club has been very supportive and so have the lads when they see I am having a down day.
"Reaching the Championship is the be-all and end-all. We are in good shape and have earned our place in the top six. We need to bounce back after Preston and start another run...'
