Cherries face Swindon

The AFC Bournemouth development squad are set to face Swindon Town today (Tuesday).

New signing Ryan Allsop is expected to make his first appearance in a Cherries shirt following his free transfer from Leyton Orient.

The 'keeper has been involved in the first team since joining the club, working as Shwan Jalal's deputy following the dropping of former England international David James from first choice 'keeper to third.

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Joe Partington is also set to play as the former Wales Under 21's international continues to learn how to adapt to the centre back position.

Josh Carmichael and AFCB Vital sponsored Josh Wakefield are expected to line up in midfield alongside highly rated youngster Harry Cornick who is set to make the trip.

AFC Bournemouth development coach Chris Hargreaves told afcb.co.uk...

"Ryan has been on the bench for the first team games so it is important for him, It will be good for his fitness and to be in a competitive environment away from training. I`m sure he`ll be delighted to get a full game.

"Joe is learning a new role and he was magnificent in the last game. He is a really good person and he is a leader and I expect him to be exactly the same against Swindon.

"It`s nice for the youth and development lads to play alongside Joe, and with his experience they can only learn."
