Büchel joins Dorchester

Büchel joins Dorchester

AFC Bournemouth development squad goalkeeper Benjamin Büchel has joined Conference South club Dorchester Town on a one month loan deal and has also extended his contract with the Cherries.

Liechtenstein international Goalkeeper Benjamin Büchel joined up with the Cherries during pre-season and impressed during a trial spell with the club, signing a six month short-term contract in August 2012.

He has remained in the Cherries development squad this season and played a starring role in the Cherries recent penalty shoot-out victory in the Hampshire Senior Cup saving three penalties.

He has now signed a contract with the Cherries to remain at Dean Court until the end of the season.

Büchel told afcb.co.uk...

"This move is a great chance for me to show I can play in the league, I saw Dorchester in training and it is a good standard for me to play.

"The development games were just friendlies so it`s something different, and I hope I can help them with good performances.

"I will always give my best for Bournemouth because it`s a great club to play for, but for now I have to take my chance at Dorchester."
