Buchel set for loan move

Buchel set for loan move

AFC Bournemouth development squad goalkeeper Benjamin Büchel could be set to leave the Cherries on loan to gain experience.

Liechtenstein international Goalkeeper Benjamin Büchel joined up with the Cherries during pre-season and impressed during a trial spell with the club, signing a six month short-term contract in August 2012.

He has remained in the Cherries development squad this season and played a starring role in the Cherries recent penalty shoot-out victory in the Hampshire Senior Cup saving three penalties.

AFC Bournemouth assistant manager Jason Tindall told the Daily Echo...

"We have been delighted with Benji. He works hard in training every day, he is a really good shot-stopper and a great lad. We have high hopes for him.

"Ideally, with our goalkeeping situation, we would like to get him out on loan to get some games. Wherever he goes, we are totally confident he would perform extremely well and do someone a great turn."
