Arter: A good confidence boost

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter believes the Cherries recent run of results will have acted as a good confidence boost.

Since Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall's return to the south coast as the Cherries new management team in October, the team have only lost two games.

One of those matches was a narrow defeat to Premier League side Wigan Athletic and the other was an away defeat to Walsall.

Those defeats ended a sequence of 18 games unbeaten in all competitions and 15 games without defeat in League One.

But Howe's side have proved that those back to back defeats were just a minor blip by recovering to win the next three games in succession and climb up the League One table to third.

Arter told the Daily Echo...

"...To win the past three games and especially to win in the fashion we did on Saturday was a good statement and a good confidence boost.

"Five or six games ago, when we were on our unbeaten run, teams were probably fearing us.

"When we lost at Walsall, it was probably a question of 'has their bubble burst?` But I think it is clear to see it has definitely not burst. Every team has a hiccup and to go to MK Dons and win 3-0 was a great result."
