Arter: Goal was for Tommy

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter has dedicated the Cherries win at stadium:MK and his own spectacular 30 yard goal to stand in captain Tommy Elphick.

The Cherries 3-0 win over promotion rivals Franchise was overshadowed by the incident involving Elphick and Ryan Lowe which ended both players games prematurely during the first half.

Elphick was forced off and faces a scan later today, while Lowe was shown the red card and will face an automatic three match ban.

Arter dedicated the three points to Elphick following he game.

Arter told the Daily Echo...

"On behalf of the team, I would like to dedicate that win to Tommy because he is on crutches. He has been a great captain for us and my goal was for Tommy."

On his goal he added...

"If I had missed, the gaffer probably would have had the hump with me! Luckily for me, I caught it right, it went in and it was one of the more pleasing goals I have scored."
