Cherries set to face Eastleigh

AFC Bournemouth are set to face Conference South side Eastleigh at New Milton's Fawcetts Field in the Quarter Finals of the Hampshire Senior Cup.

The Cherries have progressed to this stage of the competition with comprehensive victories over Winchester City and Fleet Town.

AFC Bournemouth development squad coach Chris Hargreaves has previously utilised the Cherries development squad during this competition with a few professionals in need of match practice also being included.

But a lot of players have since gone out on loan, so Hargreaves is expected to field a team made up from the development squad, the youth team and could possibly also include new signing Ryan Allsop and midfielder Donal McDermott.

It is pay on the turnstile this (Tuesday) evening with adults 5 and concessions 3.

Hargreaves told afcb.co.uk...

"This is one we are looking forward to because there is a semi-final place at stake, gives the game a real edge and it will be a real test.

"In the two previous rounds, we were comfortable in both games with the 6-0 and the 6-2. They weren`t massive tests, but this one will be...'

'...This game has something at the end of it and we want to get through to the semi-final of the Hampshire Cup...'
