Redknapp speculation continues
Just before being appointed manager at Southampton, Redknapp was widely speculated to be considering an approach for his former club AFC Bournemouth. With Harry out of a job after leaving Pompey and Bournemouth in financial difficulties the two were perhaps set to meet once again. This was dashed however with his appointment at local rivals Southampton, who promptly got relegated to The Championship.
It has been reported today that Redknapp is no longer a candidate for the vacant job at Portsmouth. The Southampton VitalFootball site reported Mandaric as saying 'We are not going to screw around with Lowe he's too busy today hunting the ducks, which is more important to him than football activities' (check it out here). This has also been confirmed on Sky Sports News.
Harry was question before his appointment with Southampton as to the possibility of making a return to Bournemouth to 'take over' the club. At that time Harry said that it was something he would consider doing in the future. Could it now be that future?
I believe he would be welcomed at Bournemouth.
