Pitman: I will take penalties

AFC Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman believes he is the teams first choice penalty taker.

The Cherries have a number of players who would like to class themselves as the teams penalty taker. Marc Pugh, Charlie Daniels, Harry Arter, Lewis Grabban and Brett Pitman have all been successful from the spot in a Cherries shirt at some point in time.

At times it has appeared to be a bit chaotic regarding who would take them if the Cherries were handed a chance from twelve yards, but Pitman believes that if he is on the field, then they are his responsibility.

Pitman told the Daily Echo...

"I keep getting asked about this. The manager has said that if I am on the pitch, I will take penalties.

"Until I am told differently, that is how it will be."
