Howe: MK is a really big game

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe immediately turned the squad focus towards the Cherries trip to stadium:mk after collecting the three points against Crewe.

After the disappointment of being knocked out of the FA Cup in a third round replay to Premier League side Wigan Athletic and then the end of a fifteen game unbeaten run in League One with a 3-1 away defeat to Walsall, the Cherries bounced back in style this week.

Six points from two games with victories over Hartlepool and Crewe has lifted the Cherries up to fifth in the League One table.

Next up for Eddie Howe's squad is a trip to Milton Keynes to take on Karl Robinson's team, with the Franchise just outside the play-off places after not being in league action due to their FA Cup heroics against Queens Park Rangers.

Howe told afcb.co.uk...

"In the second half (against Crewe), we were by far the better team, So let`s not cloud the game. I admit that Crewe were the better team in the first half, but we earned the win by working hard and playing well after the break...'

'...I said to the players in the dressing room straight after the game about MK Dons. That is a really big game and it was important that we set ourselves up for that game with a win.

"Six points in the last two games has given us a really big confidence boost going in to what I think will be one of the toughest away games of the season."
