Howe: Sticking to our principles

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is determined that the Cherries will bounce back from defeat at Walsall.

The Cherries run of eighteen games unbeaten in all competitions and fifteen games unbeaten in League One, ended last week with back to back defeats to Premier League side Wigan Athletic and Walsall.

Those results were the first time that Eddie Howe had tasted defeat since his return to the south coast in October with the Cherries picking up 12 victories and 6 draws.

The Cherries now have to bounce back with a difficult away trip to Hartlepool on Tuesday night.

Howe told afcb.co.uk...

'...We knew at some time we would get a disappointing result and performance because that is football. We now have to make sure it doesn`t happen again for a long time.

"In all the games since I have been back, it`s the first time it`s happened. I won`t let what happened at Walsall blight all the good things we have done.

"What we have to make sure is that the principles and ethics that we work towards are upheld. If they are not then you have to be disappointed and work out why...'

We need more 'bite' in midfield Eddie. our midfielders, Arter/Mcdonald accepted, are too easlily brushed off the ball.
