Arter: Unbeaten run still goes on in the league

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter believes the Cherries can get the disappointment of the FA Cup exit against Wigan out of their system.

The Cherries had the chance of beating a club record streak of 18 games unbeaten against Premier League side Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night.

Eddie Howe's squad had already equalled the record on Saturday, but defeat to Wigan meant the end of the unbeaten run and the Cherries FA Cup run this season.

It was the first time Eddie Howe had tasted defeat since his return to Dean Court in October, but now concentration turns back to the chase for promotion, where AFC Bournemouth remain 15 games unbeaten.

Arter told the Daily Echo...

"We can`t dwell on it. We had a really good unbeaten run. To lose it in that manner was not a disgrace and the lads are really proud of themselves. Every-body at the club should be proud of how well we did and how we competed in the game on Tuesday.

"I think we can get it out of our system. The unbeaten run still goes on in the league and there is no getting away from how well we are still doing in the league and how well the run is going.

"We have to try to stay focused on the positives and build on the league form."
