Tindall: Got to give Wigan respect

AFC Bournemouth assistant manager Jason Tindall believes that there will be more of an emphasis on the Cherries to attack Wigan this evening.

In the original fixture between the Cherries and the Premier League outfit at the DW Stadium, Eddie Howe made a few changes with Lewis Grabban and Brett Pitman taken out of the starting line-up and replaced by Matt Tubbs who played up front on his own with a five man midfield.

The Cherries gained a good share of possession on the day and attacked well on the counter securing a draw to bring Wigan back down to Dean Court for a replay.

Both sides are expected to make a few changes again this (Tuesday) evening, but Tindall is confident that the Cherries can cause Wigan some problems.

Tindall told the Daily Echo...

"We are fortunate enough to have a really good squad and some really good players who haven`t started too many games so maybe this will be an opportunity to rest one or two who are a little fatigued...'

'...When you are the home team, there is more emphasis on you to attack and to take the game to the opposition. We have got to do what we feel is right to win the game.

"We will have a game-plan and, hopefully, if we can stick to it, we will get it right. We have got to give Wigan a lot of respect. They are a Premier League side and have got players who can hurt you in an instant. We have got to be mindful of the quality they have got."
