AFC Bournemouth stand in captain Tommy Elphick thinks it would be an excellent way to break the clubs unbeaten record against a Premier League side.
On Saturday the Cherries 1-1 draw with Swindon Town equalled the all time club record of 18 games unbeaten set by David Webb`s side in 1982 on route to promotion from the old division four.
Eddie Howe's side have equalled that feat with a nineteenth game coming on Tuesday evening against Wigan Athletic in a FA Cup third round replay.
As well as the unbeaten record on the line, the Cherries could also progress through to the fourth round to face Conference Premier side Macclesfield.
Elphick told afcb.co.uk...
"It`s a marvellous feat by all the lads and it`s going to take another really good team to do it again, We were aware of the record and spoke about it before the game on Saturday, and it`s a great statistic to help pick us up because everyone was disappointed not to get the three points.
"It`s a massive opportunity for us to break the record against a Premier League side and it would be really fitting if we could...'
'...We are on a high and playing with real confidence at the moment and won`t be expected to win, so there`s no pressure on us...'
