Tubbs: FA Cup has been kind to me over the years

AFC Bournemouth striker Matt Tubbs is hoping to add to his own FA Cup career highlights when the Cherries travel to Wigan.

Tubbs holds a phenomenal goal scoring record in the worlds oldest club competition, scoring 11 goals in 15 FA Cup appearances.

During his time with Salisbury City and Crawley Town, Tubbs has scored against Nottingham Forest, Swindon, Bristol City and Hull and has played at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

He's yet to score for the Cherries in the competition, but Tubbs is looking forward to the occasion with around 2,000 Cherries supporters set to make the trip with all eleven AFCB Vital sponsored supporters coaches sold out.

Tubbs told afcb.co.uk...

'...The FA Cup has been quite kind to me over the years and with any luck, I`ll get a chance on Saturday, and if I can get a goal it will be great.

"What will help all the lads is the fantastic support we are taking to Wigan. It`s not just a big game against a Premier League team that they are going to - since the gaffer and Jason have come in, we are playing better football and the supporters have been turning up in their numbers.'

"I know they will be right behind us at Wigan and they can be our twelfth man."
