Pitman: More to me than just goals

AFC Bournemouth loanee Brett Pitman believes he showed he has developed an 'all round' game with his performance away to Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

The striker who returned to Dean Court last month, initially on loan from Bristol City with a view to a permanent move in January, has scored one goal since his return.

He has featured in all three of the Cherries away games at Bury, Carlisle and Scunthorpe and although he hasn't scored since his stoppage time equaliser at Bury, Pitman has been pleased with his performances.

Pitman told afcb.co.uk...

"It was a hard game and I took a few knocks, I don`t mind taking them though as we came away from a tough place with three points.

"Personally, I was pleased with my performance and I think that I showed that there is a lot more to my game besides scoring.

"I was involved in both goals, I felt I worked hard, won a lot of headers and took a lot of hits. I thought I`d scored in the first half, but the keeper pulled off a great save, but I don`t mind as Lewis (Grabban) finished off the rebound nicely."

..I was impressed with Brett at Carlisle his all round play and positioning showed maturity and a good team ethic...well done to him too, he could prove a master signing by Howe...

Great to hear Brett coming back a more mature player.
