Cargill joins AFC Totton on loan

AFC Bournemouth development squad youngster Bailey Cargill has joined Southern Premier League side AFC Totton on a one month work experience deal.

The 17 year old defender who can play at left back or at centre half has been a regular member of Cherries development coach Chris Hargreaves squad this season and will join up with the Hampshire side in time for their FA Trophy game at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

AFC Totton manager manager Steve Riley told the Southern Daily Echo...

"Bailey gives us balance on the left-hand-side. We have suspensions coming up in the squad, a lot of defenders are on four bookings - we are now able to reshuffle the pack.

"We watched him play, we approached Bournemouth and asked them about two players, Bailey was one of them.

"I`ve had loan players from Bournemouth in the past. Chris Ferrett is a good friend of Eddie Howe`s, we have quite good connections there."
