Howe: You want perfection

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe was not completely happy with the Cherries second half demolition of Oldham on Saturday.

After a tight first half, the Cherries lifted the tempo in the second half and a Lewis Grabban hat-trick and a Charlie Daniels diving header gave the Cherries a 4-0 lead going into the final few minutes.

But the Cherries conceded a late goal with David James unable to save Oldham substitute Matt Smith's header with just four minutes remaining.

Howe told afcb.co.uk...

"You want perfection, but the pleasing thing for me was that the players hurt just as much as me when they conceded.

'It has to be put into perspective though. The players have been excellent and put in a really good second half performance...'

"...You have to look at the negatives when you are winning. Always looking to see how we can become a better team, but overall, I can never be critical of the players here at the moment."

...yep it was a poorly defended goal to concede...an unchallenged header, Howe as a defender will be right to be upset about that.
