Pugh: Howe & Tindall brought a winning mentality

AFC Bournemouth winger Marc Pugh believes that management duo Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall deserve a lot of credit for the Cherries recent upturn in fortunes.

Following a poor run of form under former manager Paul Groves, the Cherries had slumped into the relegation places with just one win in twelve games.

Since the announcement that Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall were returning to Dean Court following a 21 month spell in charge of Championship side Burnley, the Cherries have now taken 19 points from a possible 21.

In all competitions its now seven wins from eight games with 23 goals scored and 9 conceded. With five consecutive victories at the Goldsands Stadium.

Pugh told afcb.co.uk...

"We are being really positive and making it a bit of a fortress here, but we can`t be complacent, It`s a good achievement and not many teams do it because it`s such a competitive league and anyone can beat anyone.

"If we can keep up this form and keep picking up points, then I don`t see why we can`t be up there with the best.

"Eddie and Jason (Tindall) deserve a lot of credit. They`ve brought a winning mentality and we go into every game believing we are going to win...'
