Howe: You have to earn success

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has praised his back room staff following the Cherries recent upturn in performances.

During Eddie Howe's first stint as manager, the Cherries had a very small backroom set-up with physio Steve Hard and goalkeeping coach Neil Moss working alongside Howe and his assistant manager Jason Tindall.

They eventually added to the setup including fitness coach Jonathan Dalzell, academy coach Jason Blake and scout Des Taylor and the trio all followed Howe to Burnley in January 2011 alongside Tindall.

In October 2012 Howe and Tindall both returned to Dean Court following a 21 month spell with the Championship club, however Dalzell, Blake and Taylor have all remained with Burnley.

Instead of taking his whole backroom set up with him Howe has taken on the previous backroom set up which worked under former manager Paul Groves, which includes Moss and Hard from his previous spell in charge.

The team have seen an immediate change in fortunes on the pitch, going from just one win in twelve games under Groves, to an unbeaten seven game run including six victories in all competitions since Howe's return was announced.

Howe told the Daily Echo...

"...No one is going to give you the success or wins and you have to earn every one.

"You do that by working as hard as you can to be as best prepared as you can be. That is very much our motto and we both (Howe & Tindall) share that together."

"It is never a one-man show at any football club and you are only as good as the staff you have around you to help you...'
