Cherries development squad draw with Exeter

An AFC Bournemouth XI, managed by development squad manager Chris Hargreaves drew 1-1 with Exeter on Tuesday afternoon.

The Cherries named a strong but unbalanced team for the game with youngsters Ed Tierney in goal and Cargill in defence alongside first team members Stephane Zubar and Joe Partington who played in the centre of defence and Wes Fogden at right back.

Mark Molesley got the chance to build on his fitness on the left wing alongside Donal McDermott, Eunan O'Kane and Lorenzo Davids, with Frank Demouge and Wesley Thomas up front.

Exeter opened the scoring just after half time through Guillem Bauza, but Wesley Thomas found the Cherries equaliser for the game to finish level.

Howe told the Daily Echo...

"It was a good, competitive game and a lot of the players needed the work-out. Certain players haven`t played a lot of football so it was good for them to get minutes under their belt and they will all benefit."
