AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believes the Cherries are now progressing as a team.
When the announcement was made that Eddie Howe along with assistant Jason Tindall would be returning to Dean Court after 21 months at Championship side Burnley, the Cherries were struggling in the relegation places in League One.
Despite a summer of spending off the field on facilities in and around the newly named Goldsands Stadium and also on a number of players to bolster the first team squad, the Cherries had suffered four consecutive defeats and just one win in eleven games.
With the Dean Court faithful buoyed by an on pitch appearance by Howe and Tindall, the Cherries went on to win their final game under caretaker manager Dennis Rofe, which acted as a springboard for Eddie Howe to takeover a team with new found confidence.
With Howe and Tindall in the dugout, the Cherries have remained unbeaten in five, winning four and scoring 16 goals. Surpassing the total number of goals scored during Paul Groves tenure as manager during August to October.
The Cherries are now 12th in the League One table, six points off the play-off places and Howe believes that the team are now moving in the right direction.
Howe told the Daily Echo...
"...On the pitch, some of our football has been excellent. I think we are getting more progressive and more threatening as time goes on.
"I see a confidence now within the team, during games, that perhaps wasn`t there a few weeks ago so we are moving in the right direction.
"We are well aware that it is still very early days. We have been on a good run, we want to keep that going for as long as we can, but somewhere along the line there will be a setback or two and we will have to handle that when it comes."
