AFC Bournemouth defender Tommy Elphick believes the Cherries will continue to keep plugging away as they attempt to play catch up in the League One promotion chase.
Since the announcement that Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall would be returning to Dean Court after 21 months at Championship side Burnley the Cherries have seen an up turn in their performances.
Following four successive defeats and just one win in eleven games, the Cherries were 21st in League One with just 8 points.
But now after a run of four wins in five, Eddie Howe's rejuvenated AFC Bournemouth are 12th in League One with 21 points, six points off the play-off places.
Elphick told the Daily Echo...
"We are making small strides. We have got a lot of catching up to do and, slowly, we are getting there and closing the gaps that we need to be closing...'
'...We have just got to keep winning, keep plugging away and trying to close these gaps. All the while there are points possible, there is definitely time. With the form we are in at the moment, we have just got to carry it on and see how far it takes us."
