AFC Bournemouth midfielder Marc Pugh insists that he is committed to doing his best for the Cherries, leaving his contract situation to his agent.
Marc Pugh's current contract is set to expire at the end of the 2012/13 season and if he doesn't agree a new deal with the Cherries he will be able to leave the club on a free transfer come the end of the current campaign.
Pugh has always been open about his situation, stating that he wants to play at the highest level possible.
Since Howe's return to the club was announced Pugh has scored four goals in six appearances and has looked a rejuvenated player, performing in his preferred left wing role, playing to his strengths getting wide, running at players and creating chances.
The Cherries recent fortunes have also improved with four league wins in five games and Pugh believes that is down to confidence around the squad.
Pugh told BBC Radio Solent...
'...There is no change to the contract situation, it is still ongoing so I'm concentrating on my football and I'll leave the off-field business to my agent.
'Every player is ambitious, the club is on the up and we are performing brilliantly and who knows where the next couple of months may take us? I'm keeping my head down and doing my best for Bournemouth...'
'...I never hold grudges for managers not picking me but the old system (under former manager Paul Groves) didn't really suit me. But now we are playing 4-4-2 and the lads are full of confidence and that is what you need to be successful...'
