Howe: Loan move invaluable for Meades

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believes that utility player Jonathan Meades will develop as a player whilst out on loan.

Meades joined League Two side AFC Wimbledon on loan on Monday, with the 20 year old agreeing a two month temporary move.

He joins fellow Cherries loanee Steven Gregory who made the move back to his former club earlier this season and former Cherries club captain Warren Cummings who joined Wimbledon following his release from Dean Court by former manager Paul Groves.

He made his football league debut on Tuesday night against Exeter City, playing 90 minutes in Wimbledon's 2-0 defeat.

Howe told the Daily Echo...

"We have been impressed with Jon in terms of his attitude and he is a really good professional with excellent application to his work.

"We just feel at this stage of his career that he needs to play regularly in order to develop into a League One player...'

'...These games will help him no end. For Jon, with the age he is and his experience in the game so far, I think this is invaluable for him and his own personal development...'
