Addison: Delighted to have retained the captaincy
AFC Bournemouth captain Miles Addison is pleased to have kept the captains armband following the change of managers.
Addison was named as captain by former manager Paul Groves following his summer move from Championship side Derby County and he has remained as club captain following the return of Eddie Howe as manager last month.
The change of manager has also seen an immediate change in results with three wins coming from the past four matches since Howe's return was confirmed and Addison is enjoying the turn in fortunes.
Addison told afcb.co.uk...
"One of the first things I said when I came in was that I wanted to be captain of a winning team, There`s no fun in being captain of a losing team because the responsibility and burden is more on you."
"Being captain of a team and coming off the pitch winning is one of the best feelings in football definitely."
"I have the captaincy for the time being and, like I have said before, I am proud and honoured to be the captain of this team. I hope that I can be the manager`s captain for him on the pitch.
"I am delighted to have retained the captaincy and hopefully for my remaining time at the club I can retain it."
