McQuoid: It's been like a breath of fresh air

AFC Bournemouth attacker Josh McQuoid has described Eddie Howe's impact on the squad as 'a breath of fresh air'.

Since Eddie Howe's return to the Cherries was announced AFC Bournemouth have won three and drawn one, with the last three of those performances coming with Howe in the Cherries dugout.

An impressive 3-1 win over League One leaders Tranmere at Dean Court was followed up with another three goals away at Notts County, with a late Matt Tubbs strike sealing the equaliser in an entertaining 3-3 draw.

On Saturday AFC Bournemouth made it ten goals in three games with a 4-2 win over Carlisle, as result that has seen the club move up to sixteenth in the table.

McQuoid told afcb.co.uk...

"It`s nice that we are scoring a few goals, that`s always a good thing, I don`t think it was our best performance by any means. That is a good sign though that maybe we didn`t play that well, but we came out with a win.

"All the lads put 100 per cent in and it was a nice feeling at the end. We know we can play better and I think we will play better, but it`s good to get a result at a tough place like Carlisle.

"It's 10 points out of 12 and since the gaffer came in it`s been like a breath of fresh air. We have shown that all the lads are committed to the cause. We now have to build on this because we want to push up the table as quickly as we can."
