McQuoid: Nice to get back on the score sheet

AFC Bournemouth attacker Josh McQuoid scored his first goal for the Cherries in almost two years on Tuesday.

McQuoid left Dean Court for Championship side Millwall in December 2010 after enjoying a purple patch for the Cherries that had included seven goals in four games, with back to back hat-tricks coming against Tranmere and Walsall.

Since his departure he has struggled to hold down regular first team football and he has been limited to just two further goals, one for Millwall and one whilst on loan with Eddie Howe's Burnley.

Now back on the south coast and re-united with Howe, McQuoid is hoping to find the back of the net on a regular basis again.

McQuoid told afcb.co.uk...

'...It was my first goal since I came back, so it`s obviously nice to get back on the score sheet.

"Hopefully it`s something I can add to my game being back here again - hopefully there will be many more to come..."

McQuoid became the tenth Cherries player to score in League One this season with previous goals coming from Harry Arter, Lee Barnard, Charlie Daniels, Tommy Elphick, Simon Francis, Lewis Grabban, Richard Hughes, Marc Pugh and Matt Tubbs.

McQuoid added...

'...It`s good to have loads of people scoring, because it`s good for competition for places - it`s healthy so it`s nice to see."
