AFC Bournemouth first team coach Dennis Rofe signed off from his temporary time in charge of the Cherries with the sides first home victory of the season.
Rofe stuck with the same shape from the Coventry game with Eunan O'Kane coming in for Josh Carmichael as the only change in the starting eleven.
With the Dean Court crowd buoyed by the appearance of the returning Eddie Howe, the Cherries players were visibly brighter with their performance, with tempo, width and good passing.
It took until the second half to find the break through, with the first goal coming from a Simon Francis corner, whilst Marc Pugh settled the game when he intercepted the ball and went on to dribble the ball past every Orient defender and 'keeper before tucking the ball home from a yard out.
Rofe told afcb.co.uk...
"I was absolutely delighted that the players got what they deserved, They have been denied wins on previous occasions, but they have always given 100% and they continued to do that against Orient.
"We had a couple of breaks with the goals, but that is something that we haven`t been having. I`m pleased for the players, I`m pleased for the supporters and pleased for the club that we have finally got three points at home.
"I think that over a season, things even themselves out. When you have bad luck like we have, over a season you will get some good luck. Yes we had a break for the first goal maybe, but we thoroughly deserved the win."
