Incoming AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has spoken about how difficult it has been to walk away from Championship side Burnley.
Howe and his assistant Jason Tindall will be unveiled as the Cherries new management team ahead of the game against Leyton Orient at the Goldsands Stadium later today (Saturday), after Howe and Tindall opted to step down a division to return to Dean Court after 21 months in charge of Burnley.
Howe and Tindall both left the Cherries for Burnley in January 2011 and started a new challenge at Burnley, moving the club through a transition period following the clubs relegation from the Premier League and Howe admits leaving part way through the job is disappointing.
Howe told burnleyfootballclub.com...
"It`s been a really tough week. I can`t speak highly enough of Burnley Football Club, the people who work for the club, the players and the supporters, who have all been brilliant to us since we walked through the door, and I would like to thank them for that,"
"To leave is incredibly difficult, but I feel it`s a decision I have to make for my family and for personal reasons, which I can`t go into detail on...'
'...Jason and I have worked extremely hard in the job to try and put foundations and processes in place that will benefit Burnley for the long term, and hopefully they will continue to go on behind the scenes because I do believe the future is really bright for the club...'
