AFCB CST - NCS October programme

AFC Bournemouth`s Community Sports Trust is delighted to announce it will be running the Nation Citizen Service (NCS) programme this October after its huge success over the past two summers.

The project will take place in October half-term, giving 30 students the chance to be a part of this life-changing experience.

As usual, the Trust is ensuring the scheme is packed with fun yet challenging activities for the students chosen, ranging from abseiling to raft building and canoeing allowing all members the opportunity to excel in team building events and developing new skills.

The NCS project has been adapted for the October half-term to guarantee it is more challenging for the students ensuring they take as much from the experience as possible.

Head of the Community Sports Trust Steve Cuss said, "With universities proving ever hard to enrol with, this is a great way to build on vital qualities needed to make a student stand out.

"The scheme concentrates on ensuring students get the most out of every opportunity, pushing pupils to achieve their potential.

"We have also introduced a new social action section which will allow pupils to design and carry out a project that will benefit members of the local community.

"This event is always hugely valuable for local teenagers to be a part of, and while we can only offer a limited number of spaces, I would encourage anyone interested in taking part to sign up as soon as possible.`
