The man behind the team based at stadium:mk Pete Winkelman has denied that AFC Bournemouth have made an approach for manager Karl Robinson.
Robinson, who turned 32 last month is one of the youngest managers in English football, after taking over the managerial position at Milton Keynes in May 2010 after previously working as Paul Ince's assistant.
Robinson holds an almost 50% win record with the club, after guiding them to two fifth place finishes over the past two seasons, but failing to get the club promoted via the play-offs on both occasions.
On Thursday the Echo first linked Robinson with the Cherries hot-seat, while a follow up story on Sunday night proved to be the catalyst behind his odds dropping from around 66-1 to 5-1 over the past 24 hours.
But the Cherries are yet to make an official approach, while AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell ponders his next move following the sacking of Paul Groves last week.
Winkelman, the Managing director of the property development consortium Inter MK told the Daily Echo...
"There hasn`t been any official approach from Bournemouth, no. Not that I am aware of."
While Mitchell said...
"We are doing our due diligence on various candidates and we hope to have someone in place as soon as possible.
"We have got a host of applicants - a real lot of applicants - and they are coming in all the time."
