Purches: Great club to be a part of

AFC Bournemouth utility player Stephen Purches believes the Cherries vacant managerial role will be a very sought after position.

Purches, who is still going through the rehabilitation process after breaking his leg last season, believes there are many reasons why any prospective manager would find AFC Bournemouth an attractive proposition.

The Cherries have been linked with a few high profile managers, including managers who are already working in League One and Purches believes the role at Dean Court would be difficult to turn down.

Meanwhile Purches has been working with the centre of excellence in recent weeks as well as concentrating on his own recovery.

The midfielder jogged for the first time earlier this week and he will continue to make progress on a return to full fitness over the next few months.

Purches told the Daily Echo...

'...(the club) is close to my heart, I am very fond of it and I am sure there are a lot of other people who feel the same way as me. It is a great club to be a part of.

'I am sure there will be plenty of interest from top names and from other up-and-coming managers.

"I am sure it would be a hard job for anyone to turn down if offered as well. I hope whoever comes in really relishes the chance to stamp their authority on it and take us places."

It was a great little club Steve but not any more. it has had it's heart ripped out by the Mitchell clan. It has been turned into a cash cow for Severn Developements, very handy in a recession. EM wants to build a hotel and 4th stand on ground we don't even own. We have now got a Champagne Bar, another loss leader for Black Label. Who wants that? We are supposed to buy champagne when we can't get a decent pie, and Burgers and Pasties have been unavailable at recnt games. It was a great club, it was our club. Wewant it bac!
