Rofe: Difficult to start the ball rolling

AFC Bournemouth first team coach Dennis Rofe remains uncertain whether or not he will be taking charge of the team for the Cherries trip to Coventry.

The former Southampton coach joined Paul Groves backroom set-up over the summer, but following his departure on Wednesday, Rofe was given the task of taking control of the first team training sessions for the remainder of this week.

Without an official announcement regarding who will take over the job on a caretaker capacity, Rofe is currently preparing for the game, just in case he is called upon.

Rofe told afcb.co.uk via Hot Radio...

"We have to get a little bit of belief back, a little bit of confidence back, and whoever is in charge on Saturday will, hopefully, get this club a win and start the ball rolling,"

"It`s difficult to do that. You have to get your first aid kit out and see what needs patching up. I`m no psychologist but I think I know how to motivate people and that`s what I`ve been trying to do.

"Will I take the team tomorrow? I don`t know. I might get a call to tell me that I won`t, but I`m prepared to take them and I will try my best to get the players to believe in themselves, to play and do themselves justice."

I considered putting no as I think the time for him to go was weeks ago, but I thought that would be misleading.

Rofe will be in charge and he'll pick the same old dross that played against Crawley, EM's orders.
