Barnard: Focussed on Coventry

AFC Bournemouth loanee Lee Barnard believes that the squad are focussed on the trip to Coventry on Saturday afternoon.

The Cherries have lost their last three consecutive games and are currently placed 20th in the League One table, Coventry lost five of their first eight games in the league this season but recently picked up their first win of the season away at Oldham and are now 22nd.

The Southampton striker who has scored three goals in six league appearances since joining the Cherries on loan until January, admits that it has been a difficult week following the departure of the management team.

Barnard told afcb.co.uk...

"With Paul (Groves) and Shaun (Brooks) going it has been a bit strange, but that`s the nature of football and these things happen,"

"I owe them a lot because they brought me to the club and I wish them the best, but we have another game on Saturday and we need to concentrate on that.

"It`s a big game. Coventry is a big club and should probably be in a higher division. They have had a slow start but they have picked up, and it will be a tough game for us. But we are focused and we know what we have to do."
