AFC Bournemouth captain Miles Addison has urged the Cherries board to not rush their appointment of a new manager.
The former Derby County defender has seen two managers sacked since he initially moved to the south coast seven months ago.
Addison was first signed by former manager Lee Bradbury, who signed the defender on loan. Addison made a few appearances under Bradbury, including his final game in charge against Oldham in March.
Addison then featured in all twenty games of Paul Groves tenure at the club, including his final game in charge on Tuesday against Crawley.
The club captain would like to see co-owners Eddie Mitchell and Maxim Demin appoint an experienced manager and hopes they will take their time to make the right appointment.
Addison told the Daily Echo...
"I would just urge the board and the directors to take their time with the decision. I don`t think a quick, hasty decision is going to help anyone at the moment.
"I think this group of players needs someone strong and very aggressive in the way they want to go about their work. I think it needs someone who is going to put down their foot from day one and show the group what they are about..."
'...The club is growing and a big club needs an experienced man at the top to lead it. Maybe someone who has been there and done it before would suit the criteria. It definitely needs someone with experience who can have a look at it from top to bottom and knows what needs to be done."
