Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson insists that being linked with the vacant managerial position at AFC Bournemouth is not a distraction.
The former Bristol City manager is currently third favourite for the position at Dean Court with the bookies, behind former Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill and current Burnley boss Eddie Howe.
57 year old Johnson returned to Yeovil in January replacing Terry Skiverton who became Johnson's assistant.
He has previously had spells with Northampton Town and Peterborough United, but it was at Bristol City and Yeovil where he has previously enjoyed the most success winning the Football Conference and League Two during a four year spell with Yeovil before also guiding Bristol City to promotion from League One just two years after leaving Yeovil.
He went on to help them establish themselves in the Championship before leaving in 2010.
Johnson told the Western Gazette...
'It is not unwanted (attention) and it is not a distraction either. There is a saying with managers that they all say they are very flattered but there is no decision until the decision is made.
'But we have got a little bit of work to do here and nothing must take our focus from what we have got to do because if anybody sees your focus is even slightly away from the job here it is does not work.
'At this minute everybody needs to give 100 per cent and that is what we are giving. In effect, it doesn't affect anything other than me answering the question.'
