AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves insists that he will not resign as manager of the Cherries.
The calls from sections of the AFC Bournemouth travelling support for Groves to be sacked continued during the Cherries 3-1 away to defeat to Crawley on Tuesday night.
An abject defensive performance by the Cherries poured further misery onto the travelling supporters, who watched on as AFC Bournemouth slumped to 20th in the League One table, with a third consecutive defeat.
AFC Bournemouth now hold the worst defensive record in the division with 20 goals conceded during the opening 10 games of the League One campaign, only Oxford and AFC Wimbledon hold worse defensive records in the top four divisions in English football so far this season.
While Paul Groves record in charge of the Cherries continues to disappoint, since taking control of first team affairs at Dean Court, the Cherries have won just 3 times in 20 games in all competitions, drawing 11 and losing 6, scoring 22, whilst conceding 29.
Groves told BBC Radio Solent...
"In football, you don`t quit. You never quit on the pitch and you never quit off the pitch, so no chance (of resigning).
"Yes, I am responsible and people come to me. But, also, those players on the pitch have to do their jobs. If they don`t do their jobs, you have to look at trying to change that round a little bit in terms of the personnel..."
'...We have conceded four goals in the past two games from set-plays. People are responsible for doing their jobs and you have to go through them again and again until you get it right...'
