AFC Bournemouth midfielder Marc Pugh understands the level of expectation on the squad this season.
AFC Bournemouth have invested heavily in not only the infrastructure of the club, but also the first team squad.
Over the past year the Cherries have built a brand new training facility in Kings Park and developed various areas of the Goldsands Stadium including a gym and new changing rooms.
The youth set up has had a complete overhaul and manager Paul Groves has been able to form a new development squad and sign a number of players over the summer.
But despite the investment, the Cherries have started the season slowly and have become draw specialists under Groves.
Since Groves took charge of the first team affairs in March last season, the Cherries have drawn 11 out of 17 games, with only 1 victory so far this season.
Pugh told the Daily Echo...
"We are expected to at least reach the play-offs this season, whereas, two years ago, people thought we would do well to just stay in the division and we proved them wrong.
"There is a lot of expectancy from the supporters and there has been major investment in the club. We have brought in some big players and we need to perform.
"Although we had a shocking start last season, we put together a great run up to Christmas and it was looking really positive. We haven`t had the worst start in the world but need to start turning the draws into wins."
