AFC Bournemouth midfielder Marc Pugh praised striker Matt Tubbs after the forward scored his second goal in as many games against Brentford on Tuesday.
After featuring for just 50 minutes during his first four substitute appearances in League One this season, Cherries manager Paul Groves rewarded Tubbs with his first start of the season against Brentford.
Groves was rewarded after just 17 minutes when he nodded home the Cherries equaliser after falling a goal down inside the opening ten minutes.
Tubbs continued to have chances during the second half, but perhaps showing a lack of match sharpness he failed to add to his tally.
But now that he has broken back into the side Pugh has backed Tubbs to continue his goal scoring form.
Pugh told afcb.co.uk...
"It was great to see Matt score. He`s got two in two games now, and hopefully he can continue his good form,"
"It was a great ball from Simon Francis and it was a great header, and I`m just chuffed for him because he`s had a spell out of the team and he showed his quality.
"You know what you`re going to get from Tubbsy. He works hard and he will get you goals, and hopefully he will score lots more over the next few months."
