AFC Bournemouth defender Tommy Elphick has admitted that the Cherries recent run of form is proving frustrating.
Whilst overall performances have been inconsistent, the Cherries have continued to carve out chances, but have failed to convert those chances into results.
On Saturday the Cherries failed to open up a stubborn Hartlepool side, whilst the Brentford game was much more open, with Brentford opening the scoring, before AFC Bournemouth battled their way into the lead, but eventually conceded a late equaliser.
Even after Brentford found their equaliser the Cherries had three decent chances to take all three points, two fell to striker Tubbs, whose one on one chance was saved by the 'keeper, whilst another effort was cleared off the line.
The final chance fell to Joe Partington, but his curling effort struck the post before flashing across goal and away to safety.
Tuesday evenings 2-2 draw was the Cherries seventh stalemate in all competitions this season and Paul Groves ninth draw in fifteen League One games since he took control of the first team in March.
Elphick told afcb.co.uk...
"It`s frustrating when you see defenders clearing balls off the line and getting back to make last ditch tackles, and it seems to be happening a lot to us at the moment but we`ve just got to stick together,"
"We went a goal down but managed to get ourselves back in front, and that`s the sign of a good team. We stuck to our principles, kept going and got our noses in front, but it`s up to us from there to hang on to the lead and we didn`t quite manage to do that."
